The Final Weeks

We're getting there...slowly. It turns out I have no patience. We are 39 1/2 weeks pregnant now and for some reason I feel like he should be here already. He's still kicking a ton, which leads Paul to say such dastardly things like "He probably won't come for another two weeks." How dare he. But we'll see. Here are some pics we've taken recently to celebrate one thing or another.Driving through Malibu.

Malibu canyon. Paul looks cute. By the way, this was in February. Aren't you all jealous of us living in Southern California? Woot-woot.

My baby shower in early February at Aunt Cheryl's house. Everybody was so generous and it was an awesome shower. Thank you so much! This cake was delicious, by the way.

So many cute clothes. I can't wait to dress him up. Thank goodness for other people with good fashion sense or my baby would never wear cute clothes.

My birthday! And my amazing strawberry cake. Cake seems to be a running theme throughout this post. Hmm...I wish I had some cake right now...

And now the 37 1/2 week video. I'm even bigger now. I know, I know, it's impossible to imagine. But I also put on makeup sometimes, which did not happen in this video. So add two weeks to the belly and some mascara to the eyes and that's where I'm at right now.

I missed your birthday. I even thought about you all last week, and then Saturday came and went with all three of us Allemans fighting sickness (Joshua has had more success than his parents have), and now it's over. I'm sorry! But happy late birthday, anyway--how is 27? =P

I can't believe you're already 39 1/2 weeks. You've passed me--I never got to be 39 1/2 weeks preggo! They induced me at 38 weeks. I would say I'm jealous, but...yeah, I'm really not. I'm soooo excited for you! Keep us posted!

You're so cute... love the baby mountain. I want him to come out though... if I come over and push on him do you think he would pop out??? Hmmmm...I would probably cause brain damage, nevermind. :)

Dear Mom,

Things are crazy out there. What with the recessions and lay-offs, terrorist threats, global warming, plummeting morality, and another weak season of the Bachelor. I think I'll just stay in here. I'll let you know if I need anything.

Love,

Baby

Hang in there!! And good luck when he finally decides to show up!! I can't wait to see him. I saw your mom and Layne (I think it was him) a few weeks ago-Layne is all grown up! I was surprised at that for some reason, all I remember is little him.
